About Us
The Colorado Social Science Research Academy (CSSRA) is a nonprofit organization registered in the State of Colorado, USA. Founded in 2023, we provide the infrastructure good research depends on — independent ethics review and open-access publishing — for a global community of social scientists.

Our mission
Breakthroughs in medicine and engineering are easy to see. The quieter work of the social sciences — understanding how people learn, work, govern and live together — transforms the world just as surely. CSSRA exists to support that work.
Many capable researchers, especially independent scholars and those outside large Western institutions, face two persistent barriers: access to recognized ethics review for human-subjects research, and access to credible, affordable open-access publishing. We address both, as a service organization: our role is to support researchers' work, with the standards, registrations and transparency that make their results trustworthy.
CSSRA IRB #2 — Social, Educational, and Behavioral Research — registered with the U.S. Office for Human Research Protections (IORG0012641 / IRB00014949), valid through November 14, 2028.
A peer-reviewed, open-access quarterly (Online ISSN 3068-2673) registered with the U.S. Library of Congress, with 25 articles published across five issues since 2025.

Partnerships
CSSRA collaborates on research with Goodness and Mercy Missions, a Cameroon-based NGO founded in 2007 that empowers rural communities through education, economic empowerment and sustainable development. GMM has held special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
The partnership connects CSSRA's research infrastructure with GMM's community programs, supporting evidence-informed work on education and development in crisis-affected settings.
